Daimao Serpent

Gamejam Work-in-Progress. The theme is "This isn't even my final form."

So far I only have the basic framework for a shooter game made, but I'll try to get the core idea made. 

It's a shooter game where you play a Dragon Serpent. The idea is that the powerups and points you get add body segments to your serpent (up to 8).  These segments would function as both extra lives as well as bombs, and/or weapon upgrades. The individual segments can be hurt by enemies too. They would also be able to grow arms with fire shots too.

This has mostly been an exorcise in relearning game maker.

The serpent was drawn by me, but most of the other assets were lifted from free resources (Mostly ansimuz here on itch.)
