Krazy Netherworld Pri (working title)


A Pico8 game made for GGJ21 game.  Despite that, it's still very much work-in-progress, so expect some bugs for the time being.


  In this game, you have fallen into a haunted world where you must explore, find keys and avoid traps in order to find your way out.  You also have a sanity meter which drains as you move. The lower it is, the more likely monsters will spawn (this element is still being worked on).

Keys open locks, swords kill enemies, pills restore sanity (although it doesn't affect gameplay very much right now. just spawns zombies in select areas. I plan to do some things with it.)

While I didn't quite complete the game by the end of GGJ21, I did manage to put in a lot. There's a mostly functioning world, and all the items and tiles seem to work now. At this point the only real to dos are set up the main Ghost, and the monters/zombie ai (currently half-done).
I also intend to add music, set up the treasure chests properly, and make a use for the gold that can be collected.

I would like to expand on the ideas in here to make like a full on dragon quest style rpg. Maybe using Cart swapping for the rpg battles. Baby steps.

Didn't get a chance to work on the game in the last day of GGJ, which is lame. I still want to develop this a bit more though. At least get the enemies and ai in place.
